This is an inexpensive wood based insect spreading tool that is designed for spreading insect wings prior to mounting.
The spreading board is adjustable along the breadth of the tool to obtain desired width depending on the size of the insect and its wings. The base of the tool is made of wood and on top of the wood base, an EVA sheet is fixed. EVA sheet, being soft and easily pearceable it could be used to pin the supports used to straighten the insect wings effortlessly. The middle groove of the tool is adjustable from 0 to 12 mm with the given rust-proof metal adjustments.
